SPECIAL NOTES:
Cost: $312.80 tax included + a one time $40 uniform fee. = $352.80
PLEASE NOTE: This year we are reducing the cost of the program by $10 per term and adding an annual uniform fee of $40.00. The uniform fee will cover a soccer jersey, shorts and socks. The uniform fee is only applied once per year, so anyone registered for the fall of 2026 won't be charged for a uniform again until fall 2027. Anyone who's with us for most of the year will not see a difference in the yearly cost as there's a $10 reduced fee per term, and now they all get a uniform that fits instead of the white t shirts we usually give out.
SPECIAL NOTICE FOR 2021 CHILDREN: Parents have the choice to sign up for Cub Soccer programming or for our Academy program. Academy is for players who are competitive in the games and are generally coachable. Players in Academy will mix with 2020 children and parents have the option to drop their child off and come back at the end of the session or they can stay for the duration. If your child is better suited to our Cub Soccer format, they're encouraged to stay in Cub for another year! Honestly, going to Academy does not necessarily mean they'll develop more. Placing your child in with competitive children and children a birth year older can mean your child will have less time and success with the ball in games if they're not yet ready for that level. Being in an environment most suited to where they are right now allows them to enjoy their soccer more and have more success with the ball.

PROGRAM INFO:
Class length: 40 minutes for the 2022 and 2023 groups, 50 minutes for the 2021/2020 groups.
Fall sessions include a GC CUB SOCCER T-SHIRT!
CUB SOCCER OVERVIEW: Classes for children turning 20 months - 5 years old. This program is designed to help children develop their motor skills, social skills and gradually develop their soccer ability. All of our activities are age appropriate, getting the children to use their imagination to keep them engaged. Time with a soccer ball gradually progresses as they get older, our youngest groups will spend 10-15 minutes in games with a soccer ball, while our oldest groups will spend almost the entire session with a ball at their feet.
What to wear: Athletic clothing is all that is required, we'll have Cub Soccer shirts available at the first session. Running sneakers or soccer indoor shoes are both fine for this age group, no cleats as they are playing on a gym floor. Shin pads and soccer socks are only suggested for the 2020/2021 groups. During the winter months we ask that children and parents remove outdoor footwear upon entering the facility.
Parent participation: Parent participation is not mandatory for any of the ages. However, for the youngest groups, many children will need a parent to help them along to ensure they participate. If your child is participating and doesn't need help, feel free to watch from the side.
Session design: All activities are designed to get children to use their imagination, we also use a lot of equipment to keep them engaged(noodles, hoops, parachutes, balance beams, stepping stones, slides, bubbles, balloons) while also ensuring there's as much time spent with the ball as possible. Games become more soccer specific as they get older; our youngest groups will get 10-15 minutes of time with the ball per session, while our 2020/2021 groups will spend almost the entire session with a ball. The 2020/2021 groups will also play a soccer game at the end of every session.
Entering the facility: Please wait until 5 minutes before your child's scheduled start time to enter the facility.
