2026 TRAVEL TEAMS

TRAVEL TEAM INFO
Travel Team Details: We will be sending teams from ages Under 9 through Under 18. GC will be partnering with Canadian professional soccer teams to train with their coaches, along with high level youth academy coaches. Tentatively, our male teams will be partnering with York United FC of the Canadian Premier League while our female teams will be partnering with AFC Toronto of the Northern Super League. Our travel teams will travel April, May, June of 2026.

Fall/Winter Training Details: Teams will train twice per week for 22 weeks at the GC Sports Centre from late October - April. The fee is $20.50/session+tax, coming to $902+tax for the year. Monthly payment plans of $148.19/month are available. The additional fees will be team clothing and travel costs, we will make sure to make this as cost effective as possible and teams will have a manager to help with fundraising. Note - The U14, U16 and U18 teams will be travelling in April as the PL seasons start in May. U9 - U12 teams will travel in May or early June, if your child trains for more than 22 weeks then the fee would increase based on how many additional sessions they train.
Travel Dates: After teams are selected, we take in the competition schedules from all players to decide on our travel schedule.
Training Schedule: Training schedules have now been emailed to all groups.
Travel Details: We make sure the experience is the best possible mix of fun, learning and competition. Last year players had many memorable events such as seeing a professional soccer game, go karting, lazer tag, while training 3 times with professional coaches/players and competing in 3 matches against local high level competition. GC coaches were with the players during the entire trip for video review sessions, individual feedback meetings, coaching them during the games, etc. We will have a similar setup this year, with the aim to build on the amazing experience we had in April of 2025.
Travel Setup: U14-U18 teams travel under the supervision of coaches and parent managers. U14-U18 teams room together with their teammates and have all their meals together, just like they would with a provincial team trip. U9-U12 players travel and stay with their parents, they'll stay in the same hotel as the GC staff to ensure teams can have meals together and easily have team meetings together.
Coaches: Coaches involved so far are Andrew Murphy(GC Owner), Hannah Noseworthy(B License & MUN Seahawks Asst. Coach), Jose Cobo-Reyes(UEFA A License), Jan Skoupil(UEFA A License), Teri Murphy(MUN Seahawks Asst. Coach, Jubilee MVP), Sydney Walsh(GK Coach, Former AUS Top GK).
